Swedish wonderkid touted for Manchester United trial success

The teenaged attacker, who plays in the Swedish second flight, has had to wait for the school holidays for his chance to shine in England

Alex Timossi Andersson is heading for Manchester United on trial, and the 16-year-old has been tipped to impress at Old Trafford.

The youngster has already tasted first-team action at Swedish second-flight side Helsingborg and will now get his chance to impress the Premier League outfit.

Mourinho promises two or three signings

“He’s an exciting player who has had an eventful year and looks set to continue in the same fashion,” coach Peo Ljung told HD. “For him, it’s important that he finds a sense of what his future will be like.

“It’s fun for him and the club.”

The teenaged attacker has already spent a spell at Bayern Munich on trial, but has had to wait until the holidays to depart for England.

“Manchester United have wanted to see him for quite some time,” Ljung continued. “But the most important thing is school. We though it was appropriate to do it now so he doesn’t miss and of his education.”

Meanwhile, the youngster is hopeful he can make a positive impression.

“Of course, it’s great to go to a team that I’ve dreamed about since I were little,’ he told Expressen.

“I may not be as nervous as last time [at Bayern]. Now I have a little known of what it’s like to be in a big club again. Then one is a little easier.

“I’ll do as well as I can, then we will see.”
