Senegal will face Colombia, Poland and Japan in the first stage of the 2018 World Cup in Russia this summer.
Group H looks particularly open, with no odds-on favourite to finish top of the pile, so each nation will certainly feel they have a real chance at making the knockout stages if they can produce on the field.
2018 World Cup Qualification
Senegal picked up four wins and two draws in an unbeaten 3rd round qualification campaign after a 5-2 aggregate victory over Madagasgar.
Their group featured Burkina Faso, Cape Verde Islands and South Africa, who won just one match from six. Defence was the name of the game for the Senegalese players as they conceded just three times during that stage.
The campaign was not without controversy, though. South Africa beat Senegal 2-1 in November 2016 before FIFA ordered a replay of the game due to match manipulation by referee Joseph Lamptey, who was given a lifetime ban. The subsequent clash saw Aliou Cisse's side come out on top 2-0.
World Cup History
Russia 2018 will be Senegal's second World Cup finals and their first since 2002.
Their first foray into this calibre of competition went well though, with the Lions of Teranga reaching the quarter final stage in Japan and Korea, eventually being knocked out by Turkey.
