Selangor boss Maniam Pachaiappan is expecting the return of Indonesia international Andik Vermansah to his squad later this month, according to myMetro.

Maniam told the news website that he will monitor the fitness level of the winger, although he stopped short of revealing whether the 25-year old will get his place in the Red Giants' domestic competitions squad registration list back.

"From what I know, on April 20 Andik Vermansah will return so I hope he will come.

"I understand that he has recovered from his injury and was able to rejoin training. If he can play again it will be good for the team but for the moment, I do not want to comment any further on his place in the squad.

"He still has one year remaining on his contract (until the end of 2017) with Selangor," said Maniam to the website.

Andik is currently recuperating from an ACL injury he picked up in the 216 AFF Cup while playing for Indonesia late last year.

In his absence, the Red Giants replaced him with Juliano Mineiro and Victoras Astafei, who were reportedly only signed until the 2017 mid-season transfer window, with the understanding that one of them will not have their short-term contract renewed should Maniam decide that Andik still has a place in his squad after he recovers.
