Real Madrid will be looking for their first win of 2019 when they host Leganes in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.

Los Blancos have endured a difficult start to the year, drawing 2-2 at Villarreal and going down 2-0 at home to Real Sociedad, so Madrid need a cup victory to help recover some confidence.

Team news

Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio, Marcos Llorente and Mariano Diaz were all unavailable for the defeat on Sunday and look likely to miss out. Keylor Navas is likely to replace Thibaut Courtois in goal, while there should be another start for teenage forward Vinicius.

Leganes midfielder Gerard Gumbau was sent off at the weekend defeat to Espanyol in La Liga but is available to play in the Copa Del Rey.

This season, high-scoring home wins for Los Blancos have been few and far between, with their biggest victory at the Bernabeu actually coming against Leganes in a 4-1 league success back on 1st September.
