Real Madrid target Vinicius signs new Flamengo deal

The 16-year-old attacker is now under contract until 2019, with a release clause set at €45 million

Real Madrid target Vinicius Junior has signed a new contract with Flamengo through 2019, the club announced Monday.

Ruthless Real don't need to play well

The 16-year-old attacker, who has been widely linked to Los Blancos, has seen his release clause rise from €30 million to €45 million. Goal Brazil understands Madrid are expected to pay that fee to sign Vinicius in July 2018, following his 18th birthday.

Vinicius made his professional debut in Flamengo's 1-1 Serie A draw with Atletico Mineiro on Saturday. He scored seven goals as Brazil won CONMEBOL's Under-17 championship earlier this year.
