Betting: Lacazette enhanced to 4/1 to score first as Arsenal host Leicester

Arsenal kick off the Premier League campaign at home to Leicester City on Friday, with Alexandre Lacazette ready to get off to a flying start for Arsene Wenger's side.

With no Champions League football this season, the Gunners can focus fully on the Premier League and Lacazette, a club-record signing from Lyon, is one of the most eye-catching transfers of the window so far.

Having hit a career-best 28 Ligue 1 goals last season, Lacazette is primed to be Arsenal's main man as transfer speculation continues to surround the club's star player, Alexis Sanchez, who has less than a year left on his contract and has been strongly linked with Manchester City.

With Sanchez ruled out through a minor injury, Lacazette is the Gunners' main goal hope against Leicester and he has been price boosted by dabblebet from 3/1 (4.0) to a tempting 4/1 (5.0) to score the first goal.

Lacazette has scored a couple of goals in pre-season and the early signs are that he will be a good fit as the focal point for Arsenal, although he is kept out of the France team by Olivier Giroud, the man he is supposed to be an upgrade on but Les Blues operate a different approach with the team often playing to the strengths of Antoine Griezmann.

The striker hit the woodwork with a good effort in the Community Shield against Chelsea on Sunday and with the likes of Mesut Ozil pulling the strings behind him, should get plenty of chances.

Leicester will be without defensive lynchpin Robert Huth for the game, with £17 million signing Harry Maguire set to make his debut alongside Wes Morgan after joining from relegated Hull City.

Although Maguire has a lot of potential and looks a future England international, new defensive partnerships take time to combine and Lacazette's pace and movement can cause a lot of problems for the flat-footed Foxes captain.

Lacazette hit a hat-trick in his first league appearance last season and while he might not repeat that remarkable feat against the Foxes, a dabblebet price boost from 3/1 (4.0) up to 4/1 (5.0) for him to open the scoring on Friday is seriously tempting.
