Serbia international Milos Ninkovic has been named Sydney FC's Player of the Year.

The 32-year-old, who recorded 11 assists in 29 A-League matches this season, beat out Danny Vukovic, Bobo and Alex Brosque for the prize, which was voted on by a select panel of coaches. Ninkovic also won separate Player of the Year awards voted on by his teammates and the Sydney FC Members.

"I am very happy to have received these awards," Ninkovic said in a news release. "These awards are not only for me, they are for the team — we won together and as a family everybody played their part."

Elsewhere Friday, goalkeeper Paul Izzo earned the Mariners Medal as the Central Coast Mariners' top player this season.
