Mourinho can't resist subtle dig at Wenger: Finally Arsenal fans are happy!

Jose Mourinho snuck in a little dig at Arsene Wenger after the Manchester United manager suffered his first Premier League defeat at the hands of the Arsenal boss.

Wenger finally ends Mourinho hoodoo

In 12 previous league meetings between Mourinho and Wenger, the Portuguese had won five and drawn seven in a rivalry spanning almost 13 years.

But goals from Granit Xhaka and Danny Welbeck earned Wenger his first league win over Mourinho and, in the process, ended United’s 25-match unbeaten run.

Following the result, which also prompted Mourinho to write off his team’s prospects of finishing in the top four, the United boss jibed that he had finally made Arsenal supporters smile.

"They score, they win, and finally I leave this stadium with Arsenal fans happy,” Mourinho told Sky Sports .

“It's the first time I've seen them smile, I've seen them enjoy. They deserve it because they're an amazing club and amazing fans also deserve some joy.”
