MLS Betting Tips: Joy for San Jose Earthquakes plus how to watch and bet on every match

This week’s Major League Soccer action kicks off on Saturday night and you can watch every minute of action with bet365 thanks to watch and bet.

UK customers must have funded or active (have a bet placed in the previous 24 hours) account to enjoy the action. Other regions can also tune in but geo-blocking applies in some.

The bet in question does not have to be placed on MLS but our tipster has taken a look at this week’s fixtures and found three worthwhile wagers to consider.

San Jose Earthquakes vs Chicago Fire – San Jose to win at Evens (2.0)

The Earthquakes have consistently been one of MLS’ worst teams since winning the Supporters’ Shield in 2012, reaching the play-offs just once in that time, and lost 21 times last season.

It would not necessarily be accurate to say they have turned things around this term but they have already mustered three wins and have lost only twice in their last seven games.

They look a solid price to get their fourth win, which would match last season's tally, when they host a Chicago Fire side who have lost three of their five away games this season and not won on the road in any of their last 17 attempts – losing 12 of those.

Houston Dynamo vs D.C. United – Houston to win and both teams to score at 11/5 (3.20)

Houston have made a strong start to this season with six wins from their 10 games, propelling them to fourth in the Western Conference despite having played fewer games than everyone around them.

Home advantage is a huge factor in MLS and Dynamo have certainly taken advantage of their familiar surroundings, with five wins and two draws in seven games, although they have kept just one clean sheet there.

D.C. United are top of the Eastern Conference but have only secured away victories at Orlando City (six losses wins this season) and Colorado Rapids (nine losses). A Wayne Rooney-led attack should, at least, be able to breach Houston’s unsure defence.

Orlando City vs FC Cincinnati – Under 2.5 goals at 43/40 (2.07)

MLS is usually ripe for goals but opposing action in Florida looks a solid price. Orlando have scored nine goals at home this season but four of those came in one game, and they have netted one or fewer in four of their six home fixtures.

Their opponents this week are FC Cincinnati, who are in their debut season but have fallen away with six losses in their last eight games after a promising start.

Alan Koch’s men have not scored a goal on the road since March 24, having drawn a blank in their last four away games, and are unlikely to make this one a high-scoring affair.
