The 27-year-old midfielder will spend another season on loan with the Swedish club

Mix Diskerud has joined Swedish club IFK Goteborg on loan from Manchester City.

Diskerud, 27, was on loan at Goteborg last season from Major League Soccer side New York City FC, after spending two seasons with the New York club.

The American midfielder scored five goals in 29 matches with the Allsvenskan club last season while on loan.

Last month Diskerud signed a four-and-half-year deal with Man City after his contract with NYCFC was terminated.

Diskerud was not expected to suit up for the Premier League leaders, instead looking for a loan after joining the English side.

The Norway-born midfielder has suited up 38 times for the U.S. national team, but has not played for the country since March 2016.
