Minnesota United has announced the signing of Finnish international midfielder Rasmus Schuller from Sweden’s BK Hacken.
Schuller, a 25-year-old defensive midfielder, has experience in the top flight of his home country as well as in Sweden.
“He’s the perfect age for our club at 25. He’s an experienced national team player with Finland,” MNUFC head coach Adrian Heath said in a news release. “When we were first looking at him he kept jumping out at us. We spoke to his national team coach and former head coach and each were incredibly complimentary of his talents and his character."
In addition to Schuller, MNUFC has also announced the signings of defender Jermaine Taylor and midfielder Bernardo Anor.
Taylor, 32, has spent six seasons in MLS with the Houston Dynamo and most recently the Portland Timbers. At the international level, he has been capped more than 80 times by Jamaica.
Anor, 28, spent last season on loan with Minnesota United while under contract with Sporting Kansas City. The Venezuelan spent four seasons with the Columbus Crew before moving to Sporting KC ahead of the 2015 season.
