The 28-year-old was pictured alongside Josh Kroenke, son of Arsenal majority shareholder and Denver Nuggets owner Stan, after he was invited to the O2 for the NBA match along with several other first team stars.

Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Per Mertesacker and Shkodran Mustafi were among those present at the game, as was Gunners legend Thierry Henry who takes a keen interest in basketball.

While the Gunners are yet to agree fresh terms with Ozil, they did announce earlier on Thursday that Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Francis Coquelin have committed to new contracts.
