Manchester City vs Fulham Betting Tips: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions

Manchester City continue their defence of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Fulham to the Etihad Stadium for their fourth-round clash.

Lifting this trophy back in May was the final piece of City’s historic domestic treble and with Pep Guardiola’s side languishing 16 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League, they are unlikely to pull many punches in this tournament.

Fulham have only made it past this stage of the competition once in the last eight seasons and lost three times to City last term in all competitions, conceding seven times and scoring zero.

Manchester City vs Fulham Latest Odds

Man City are just 1/10 (1.10) with bet365 to reach the fifth round for the fifth season in a row and make it seven home FA Cup wins in a row.

Fulham have won just one of their last five away fixtures in all competitions and are 16/1 (17.0) to stun the holders and Premier League champions.

The draw, which would result in a replay at Craven Cottage, is available at 9/1 (10.0) with the online bookmaker.

Manchester City vs Fulham Team News

Guardiola somewhat rotated his side in the third round but the likes of David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Bernardo Silva still all started, and a similar such line-up could be in the offing here.

Aleksandar Mitrovic, Anthony Knockaert, Aboubakar Kamara and Neeskens Kebano are all out until at least next weekend for Fulham, so Scott Parker will likely turn to Bobby Reid and Josh Onomah.

Manchester City vs Fulham Preview

The prospect of a third consecutive Premier League title is slipping further and further away from City but Guardiola will still surely target as much domestic silverware as possible.

As the holders of this tournament and well-placed to defend the Carabao Cup once again, City will want to get through this fixture as comfortably as possible and should be able to do so against a Fulham side missing three of their top scorers.

Mitrovic, Kamara and Knockaert are responsible for 24 of the Cottagers’ 42 goals in the Championship this season and despite City’s suspect defence, Fulham seem unlikely to add much to their tally of just six goals in their last six fixtures.

Manchester City vs Fulham Tips and Predictions

With that in mind, taking Man City at -2.5, -3.0 on the Asian Handicap at 97/100 (1.97) looks a solid way to get onside with the holders here.

This will pay out in full if City win by four or more goals, whilst punters will get half their stake returned and the other half paid out if they win by exactly three goals.

Odds correct at the time of writing. Please gamble responsibly.
