Hamsik move to China stalls

Marek Hamsik's move to Dalian Yifang has hit a snag as the Chinese Super League outfit have changed their offer.

The midfielder will not feature for Napoli this weekend as a move to China seems imminent. Although he has agreed terms with the club, Sky Sport Italia reports that talks between Dalian Yifang and Napoli have stalled.

Napoli had accepted the initial offer of €20 million for an immediate transfer, but Dalian Yifang have since altered it to a loan deal worth €5m with an obligation to buy him at the end of it for €15m.

Paris Saint-Germain will restart their advances for Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante at the end of the season, Le10 Sport claims.

The France star recently signed a new contract with the Premier League side, but PSG believe they still have a chance of bringing him to Parc des Princes in the next transfer window.

The report says Kante does not have a great relationship with coach Maurizio Sarri and is not ruling out the prospect of a summer move.

Tottenham and Arsenal are keeping an eye on Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter, Sky Sports reports.

Both clubs are looking to enhance their defensive options, with Arsenal suffering injuries at the back and Spurs unsure about the long-term future of some of their centre-backs.

Germany international Ginter has been highlighted as a potential option for both teams and they are already scouting the 25-year-old, whose contract expires in 2021.

Chelsea target Rugani set to sign new Juve contract

Chelsea target Daniele Rugani is nearing a contract extension with Juventus, according to Calciomercato.

The defender has been offered a deal that will extend him until 2023 and increase his wages to €3 million plus bonuses, while he currently makes €1.7m.

Juventus are not looking to sell Rugani, but should they sign Genoa's Cristian Romero, it's possible Rugani requests a transfer. 

Ex-Man Utd assistant Queiroz appointed new Colombia boss

Colombia have appointed Carlos Queiroz as the head coach of the national team.

The South American nation had been without a coach since Jose Pekerman brought an end to a near seven-year spell in charge in September.

Queiroz had long been the favourite to take over as Pekerman's successor, but were forced to wait until his contract with Iran expired.

Galaxy sign Polenta

The LA Galaxy have signed defender Diego Polenta, the MLS club announced on Thursday.

The 27-year-old Polenta joins from Nacional in Uruguay's top flight, having spent his last five seasons with the club.

"Diego is a strong and gifted defender in his prime that we believe can become a top defender in Major League Soccer,” LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese said. “He has experience playing at a very high level in Uruguay and he will contribute to an area of need in our defense."

Galaxy trying to restructure Dos Santos' contract

The LA Galaxy are trying to restructure the contract of Giovani dos Santos in order to keep him on the team for this season, according to MLSsoccer.com.

Dos Santos is a designated player, but the club have three others on the roster and the Mexico international is the most likely to go.

In order to keep him, Dos Santos would have to take at least a temporary pay cut from $6 million down to $1.5m so that his salary cap hit could be brought down by Targeted Allocation Money.

Minnesota United near deal for Mannone

Former Premier League goalkeeper Vito Mannone is nearing a deal to join MLS side Minnesota United, according to the Star Tribune.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper, who featured for Arsenal and Sunderland in the English top flight, is currently with Reading in the Championship.

Minnesota head coach Adrian Heath admitted the club hopes to have news on their goalkeeper situation in the next few days.

Bayern to sign teenage Hamburg star Arp

Bayern Munich will sign 19-year-old forward Jann-Fiete Arp from Hamburg, it has been confirmed.

The German sides reached an agreement for the Under-19 international, but will let the player decide when he makes the move.

The forward is expected to sign a four-year contract with Bayern, while Bild reports Hamburg will pocket around €2.5 million from the deal.

Orlando City has bid for Ponce accepted

Orlando City have had their €300,000 (£261K/$341K) bid for Venezuela international Andres Ponce accepted by Anzhi Makhachkala, according to Championat.

The Russian side has also accepted a bid from Chilean side Universidad Catolica, according to the publication.

Ponce will have a choice which club he wants to join and will make his decision in the next 48 hours.

Arsenal and Atletico battle over Grimaldo

Sala fee to be paid when 'time is right'

Cardiff City have confirmed that they have not yet paid the first instalment of their payment for missing striker Emiliano Sala.

Reports had claimed Nantes were demanding six of the agreed upon €15m (£13m/$17m) fee for the Argentine, something Bluebirds chairman Mehmet Dalman has confirmed.
