Steven Gerrard has admitted that he left out Alfredo Morelos from Rangers’ 2-0 win over Kilmarnock on Saturday because the striker was not “focused”.

Spurs backed to sign Wilson as 'adequate backup' for Kane


Darren Bent has backed Tottenham to bring in Bournemouth forward Callum Wilson as an "'adequate backup" for Harry Kane.

Barcelona are willing to include Luis Suarez in a part-exchange deal to sign Donny van de Beek from Ajax - according to Mundo Deportivo.

Stan Collymore says that Kevin De Bruyne "would be the perfect fit for Liverpool", with it his belief that the Manchester City star could turn the Reds into a "truly great side".

De Bruyne was the standout player for City throughout their 2019-20 campaign, as he hit 13 goals while also recording a staggering 20 assists in 35 top-flight outings.

The 29-year-old picked up the Premier League Player of the Season award for his efforts, and also added a fourth League Cup winners' medal to his collection of domestic honours.

Lazio are closing in on the signing of Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina - according to AS.

Valencia have also been strongly linked with the 37-year-old, but he now looks set to complete a permanent move to Stadio Olimpico.

New Barcelona boss Ronaldo Koeman still thinks Philippe Coutinho has a future at Camp Nou - according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Dutchman is planning to speak to the midfielder about his career ambitions after the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

Coutinho is currently on loan at Bayern, but still has three years left to run on his current contract with Barca.

'Grealish better off staying at Villa if he's called up to England squad'


Jack Grealish is "better off" staying at Aston Villa if he's called up to the England squad, according to Tony Daley, who says a rumoured target for Manchester United needs to be playing regularly.

United are reportedly weighing up a summer bid for Grealish after his outstanding 2019-20 campaign at Villa.

Pep Guardiola needs a new Vincent Kompany, not Lionel Messi, according to Owen Hargreaves, who thinks Manchester City must strengthen defensively in order to win the Champions League.

Jose Mourinho made it clear that the 24-year-old is not for sale after the Bianconeri registered their interest in his services.

'Neymar was still wrong to leave Barca for PSG'


Neymar has played a pivotal role in Paris Saint-Germain reaching their first Champions League final but La Liga analyst Scott Minto still believes that the Brazilian should have stayed at Barcelona.

The forward became the most expensive player in history when he sensationally swapped Camp Nou for the Parc des Princes in the summer of 2017 and he has since won eight domestic honours in France.

However, on Sunday he will have the chance to lift the trophy that he and PSG crave the most, the Champions League, with Thomas Tuchel's side scheduled to take on Bayern Munich in Lisbon.

Mourinho hails 'amazing' Hojbjerg and Hart deals


Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho has said that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart are "amazing" signings for the club.

Hojbjerg joined in the off-season from Southampton while Hart joined on a free transfer from Burnley.

"The club found very intelligently the moment to do it," Mourinho said on Spurs TV. "It was the last year of contract for Pierre, his club was in a difficult situation in terms of negotiation so I think Mr Levy did amazing for us getting such a good player for us."

Chelsea are in talks to sign free agent centre-back Malang Sarr, reports Sky Sports.

The 21-year-old left Nice at the end of last season after spending his entire career with the Ligue 1 side. 

The Blues would send the France U-21 international on loan if they are to sign him.

Four PL sides chasing Smalling


Newcastle, Everton, West Ham and Fulham are all interested in a move for Man Utd defender Chris Smalling, reports 90min.

Smalling spent last season on loan at Roma and would prefer a move back, but the Serie A outfit don't appear able to meet United's £20 million ($26m) asking price.

Arsenal agree €30m Gabriel deal with Lille


Arsenal have agreed a €30 million (£27m/$35m) deal with Lille for Gabriel Magalhaes, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Gunners have been chasing the 22-year-old for some time and have won the race ahead of several other Premier League sides.

Gabriel will sign a five-year deal at the Emirates Stadium.

Chelsea continue to be interested in a move for Real Madrid's Sergio Reguilon, despite making progress in their pursuit of Ben Chilwell, according to Football.London.

The Blues are keen to sign a left-back this summer and are believed to be closing in on a £50 million ($65m) deal for Leicester's Chilwell.

However, should that deal fall through then Reguilon is seen as a fallback option, with the 23-year-old expected to be available for around £22m ($29m).

Manchester United are ready to abandon their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, according to the Mirror.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made Sancho his top target this summer but the Red Devils are reluctant to meet Dortmund's €120 million (£108m/$142m) asking price for the England international, which they feel is unrealistic in wake of the coronavirus crisis.

Sancho meanwhile is seemingly unwilling to push for a move this summer, meaning United are now ready to move on to other targets.

Villa preparing £30m Edouard bid


Aston Villa are set to test Celtic's resolve with a £30 million ($39m) bid for for striker Odsonne Edouard, according to The Sun.

Villa have made signing a striker a priority this summer and hope to beat the likes of ArsenalCrystal Palace and Leicester to the signature of the French forward.

Brentford duo Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma are also believed to be interesting Villa boss Dean Smith, as he considers a raid on his former club.

Everton have told Barcelona they will have to pay £143 million ($187m) if they want to sign Richarlison, according to the Mirror.

The Spanish giants had a £100m ($131m) offer for the Brazil forward rejected in January and have been linked with a fresh bid as new boss Ronald Koeman begins his Camp Nou rebuild.

The Toffees, though, do not want to see their star striker leave, so it would take a huge offer for them to even consider a deal.

Wolves consider Ocampos as Traore replacement


Wolves are braced for bids from Manchester City and Liverpool for Adama Traore and have identified Sevilla's Lucas Ocampos as his replacement, according to the Express.

The Midlands side face a battle to keep hold of the influential winger this summer and as a result have begun scouting for potential replacements.

Argentina international Ocampos is top of their shortlist, with the club ready to spend £55 million ($72m) to lure him to Molineux.
