Nashville SC has signed 23-year old midfielder Tah Brian Anunga, the club has announced.

Anunga has made his name in the American lower divisions, playing for the Wilmington Hammerheads and the Charleston Battery.

“Brian has demonstrated his ability to impact games at the USL level, and at a relatively young age,” said Nashville SC GM Mike Jacobs. “His tenacity and versatility on both sides of the ball fits our profile of what we look for in deep-lying central midfielders."

Nketiah to remain at Arsenal after impressing Arteta


Striker Eddie Nketiah will remain at Arsenal after impressing Mikel Arteta in training. 

The 20-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan with Leeds, and was expected to return to the Championship on another loan.

Instead, Nketiah will stay with the Gunners as he looks for a role in Arteta's attack.

Man City watching Orihuela


Manchester City are interested in a move for Nacional defender Renzo Orihuela, according to El Observador.

Though Orihuela is only 18, City have been tracking the Uruguay U-20 international for over a year.

Pep Guardiola's side are interested in purchasing Orihuela and immediately sending him back to Nacional on a six-month loan.

Chicharito to join LA Galaxy in €9m move from Sevilla


Sevilla striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez is set for a move to the LA Galaxy of Major League Soccer.

Sources close to the deal have told Goal that the Galaxy will pay a fee of €9 million (£8m/$10m) plus €3m in bonuses to land the Mexico star.

Hernandez will return to North America after a 10-year career in Europe that has seen him play for Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham and Sevilla.

Tabla returns to Montreal from Barcelona


The Montreal Impact have signed Ballou Tabla on a permanent transfer from FC Barcelona.

Tabla originally left the Impact in January 2018 to join Barcelona B, but he did not have the impact he hoped in Spain.

After rejoining the Impact on loan in August 2019, the MLS side have now made the 20-year-old's move permanent.

Juve could sell Bernardeschi in the summer


Juventus will look to sell Federico Bernardeschi this summer unless his form improves, claims Calciomercato

Bernardeschi has yet to live up to expectations since moving from Fiorentina in 2017, and he's failed to score in nine Serie A starts this term.

Rodriguez set to join Fenerbahce


Fenerbahce have won the race to sign AC Milan left-back Ricardo Rodriguez, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. 

The Swiss international had also been close to joining Dutch outfit PSV but the Turkish side have made the more appealing offer.

Rodriguez will join Fenerbahce on loan with a €5 million purchase obligation.

Man City sign Leicester teenager Gbadebo


Manchester City have signed Leicester City defender Camron Gbadebo, reports The Telegraph.

The 17-year-old is highly rated but had been allowed to look for a new club by the Foxes.

After a successful trial, City are now set to sign the teenage defender.

Arsenal open Kurzawa talks


Arsenal have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain full-back Layvin Kurzawa according to RMC Sport.

The 27-year-old has six months left on his contract and so will be available on a free transfer in the summer, though a January move has not been ruled out.

The Gunners are believed to have offered a five-year contract to Kurzawa, who is keen on a move to England.

Milan reject Rodriguez bid


Milan have rejected a loan offer from Fenerbahce for Ricardo Rodriguez as they want to seal a permanent departure for the defender, according to Calciomercato.

The Turkish side have offered to loan Rodriguez until the end of the season with the option of a permanent deal, but the Rossoneri want either a permanent transfer this month or a loan with an obligation to buy in the summer.

Dutch side PSV have also been linked with a move for the Swiss international, who has only appeared in five Serie A matches for Milan this term.

Everton eye Everton


Everton are interested in signing Brazil and Gremio winger Everton Soares, reports Sky Sports News.

Toffees director of football Marcel Brands revealed at the club's AGM that he was looking to sign new right winger to fit into new manager Carlo Ancelotti's system, with the club's Brazilian namesake matching those attributes.

Gremio's executive director Klauss Camara told Brazilian media that he was aware of Everton's potential interest, but that no formal bid has been made.

West Ham eye Allen


West Ham have made a bid for Stoke midfielder Joe Allen, according to Football Insider.

The Hammers are keen to bolster their midfield this month but saw their move for Benfica's Gedson Fernandes hijacked by Tottenham, forcing them to pursue alternatives.

As a result David Moyes' side have now turned their attentions to Allen, though their £5 million ($6m) bid is still believed to be short of what Stoke are demanding for the Wales international.

Villa keen on Slimani


Aston Villa are interested in signing Leicester striker Islam Slimani, who is currently on loan at Monaco, according to L'Euipe via Le10Sport.

The Algeria striker joined the Ligue 1 outfit on a season-long loan in August but would like to leave the club this month. 

That has prompted Villa to submit an loan offer to Leicester for the 31-year-old, with boss Dean Smith keen to add goals to his squad to help their battle against relegation

Bayern explain why they didn't sign RB Leipzig star Werner


Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has explained that his side are not looking to sign RB Leipzig star Timo Werner, claiming he does not fit their style of play.

Bundesliga champions Bayern are among a host of top European sides who have been linked with a move for the Germany striker, who has scored 18 goals in 17 Bundesliga matches so far this season.

Rapids sign Namli as designated player


The Colorado Rapids have signed midfielder Younes Namli from FC Krasnodar as a designated player.

The 25-year-old Dane joins on a two-year loan with a club option to buy. Namli has also spent time with Dutch sides Heerenveen and PEC Zwolle.

“Younes is a talented and technically gifted playmaker that we’ve had our sights on for the past two years,” said Rapids EVP and GM Padraig Smith in a statement.

“He’s been a consistently strong performer in the Eredivisie, a league we believe translates well to MLS, and has shown a great ability on the ball and in creating clear scoring opportunities for his teammates as well as getting on the scoresheet himself."

Djurgarden interested in de la Torre


Swedish champions Djurgarden are interested in a move for Fulham midfielder Luca de la Torre, reports fotboll direkt.

The 21-year-old California native has come up through Fulham's academy but has yet to earn regular minutes with the Cottagers' senior side.

De la Torre, who has been capped once by the U.S. national team, has made just two Championship appearances in 2019-20 so far.

Spinazzola deal could end Young's hopes of Inter move


Inter's impending move for Roma wing-back Leonardo Spinazzola could end Ashley Young's hopes of joining the Serie A side, according to The Telegraph.

Spinazzola is set to move to Milan with striker Matteo Politano heading to Roma in a swap deal.

Antonio Conte's side may not have a need for an additional wing-back, meaning Young could be staying with Man Utd for the rest of the season at least.

Arsenal and Tottenham chasing Djene


Arsenal and Tottenham are among a host of sides looking to sign Getafe defender Djene ​Dakonam, reports The Sun. 

The Togo international is regarded as one of the top centre-backs in La Liga, with Monaco already seeing a bid turned down. 

Everton, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are also interested in the 28-year-old, who is valued at £22 million (€26m/$29m).

Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has joined Swansea City on loan for the remainder of the season.

Injuries have forced the Red Devils to look into strengthening their midfield

Manchester United are aiming to land Atletico Madrid's Marcos Llorente on loan until the end of the season, reports the Manchester Evening News.

With injuries to Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay, the club have been forced to look at strengthening their midfield in the January transfer window.

Llorente, 24, joined Atletico from Real Madrid in the summer but has failed to secure regular minutes under Diego Simeone, starting just three of 19 La Liga games thus far.

Arteta rubbishes Stones to Arsenal talk


Mikel Arteta has rejected speculation linking John Stones with a switch to Arsenal.

Reports had claimed that the Gunners were lining up a loan move for the Manchester City centre-back as they looked to ease their defensive woes.

But Arteta has rejected the speculation, telling reporters: "No truth at all.

"John is a player I really like. We followed him before we signed him when I was at City.

"I worked with him for many years, I know him well and when I look at centre-backs he has many attributes I like, but we are not interested in him."

Dembele won't be leaving Lyon


Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has again warned any potential suitors that Moussa Dembele will not be sold in January.

Chelsea and Tottenham have both been linked with moves for the former Fulham striker, with Aulas having previously insisted the Frenchman will not be leaving in January.

And he has once again reiterated that stance, claiming that money isn't an issue as he attempts to ward off any interested parties.

"Our minds have not changed - this issue was made clear back in August," the Lyon president told RMC Sport.

"Moussa is an excellent player, a player we need. We are deliberately avoiding bringing in somebody new who could compete with him for his role.

"Moussa's future is not a question of money - he is staying with us."

Van de Beek to Madrid is a done deal


Dutch midfielder set to join Spanish giants

Donny van de Beek will join Real Madrid in the summer, according to De Telegraaf.

The Dutch newspaper's chief sports writer Valentijn Driessen told Veronica Inside: "You can write that down [the Van de Beek to Real Madrid transfer being done]. It's all settled. It's done.

"Manchester United won't have to call for him anymore."

Reports have suggested that Ajax have agreed to sell to Madrid for €55 million (£47m/$61m).

Kayal returns to Brighton


Beram Kayal has had his season-long loan with Charlton Athletic terminated by mutual consent.

The Israel international, who recently underwent surgery on a groin injury, made just six appearances for the Championship side and will now return to the Premier League club.

Frenchman wants Madrid move

Paul Pogba is looking increasingly likely to leave Manchester United in the summer, according to Sky in Germany.

The Red Devils want to keep the midfielder until at least the end of the season due to a lack of replacements being available in January, with Pogba keen on joining Real Madrid.

A summer deal will still be difficult for interested parties, however, with United reportedly asking for a fee in the region of £150 million ($195m) for the French World Cup winner.

Juventus are also apparently interested in signing the midfielder.

Marcus Rashford has been advised against teaming up with renowned agent Mino Raiola.

Reports have claimed that the Manchester United striker is considering bringing in the Italian as one of his representatives.

Barca close in on Matheus Fernandes


Barcelona are on the verge of signing Matheus Fernandes from Palmeiras - according to ESPN Brazil.

The two clubs are in advanced talks over a £7 million ($9m) deal, which would see the 21-year-old move to Camp Nou this month.

Fernandes only managed 12 appearances in total for Palmeiras in 2019.

Tottenham have announced the signing of Gedson Fernandes on an 18-month loan deal from Benfica.

The 21-year-old has been handed the number 30 shirt at Spurs, who will have the option to make his move permanent at the end of the 2020-21 season.

Fernandes expressed his delight after completing a move to north London, stating: "It's one big dream to come to this big club."

Andy King has agreed a loan move from Leicester City to Huddersfield Town, according to the Daily Mail.

The 31-year-old midfielder is out of contract in the summer, meaning his 16-year spell with the Foxes will come to an end.

He has spent the last two seasons out on loan with Swansea City and Rangers.

Schalke are reportedly hoping to sign right-back Jonjoe Kenny on a permanent deal from Everton, according to the Daily Mail.

Inter have submitted an opening bid of €10m (£8.6m/$11.1m) for Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Danish playmaker, 27, has just six months remaining on his contract and Spurs must sell this window if they are to command a transfer fee.

However, they still value Eriksen at closer to €20m (£17.1m/$22.3m) and negotiations are ongoing between the two parties, although the player is believed to be keen on a move should his club accept a fee.

Boca Juniors have reached an agreement to sign attacking midfielder Guillermo 'Pol' Fernandez from Cruz Azul, according to TNT Sports.

The 28-year-old was reportedly the first player requested by new head coach Miguel Angel Russo after his arrival at the club.

Fernandez has played less than 500 minutes in Mexico so far this season and could be tempted to return to his boyhood club.

AC Milan are interested in signing Cengiz Under from Roma, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Turkish forward, 22, has struggled with injury this term and has played less than 450 minutes across all competitions so far.

However, the ACL injury suffered by Nicolo Zaniolo means that Roma may be reluctant to part with a young attacking option.
