Paul Pogba's Manchester United career is effectively over, claims the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/10660460/pogba-man-utd-career-over-transfer-exit/" target="_blank">Sun</a>.&nbsp; Pogba has stayed on the sidelines due to injury for most of the season as speculation over an exit from Old Trafford continues to circulate.&nbsp; And both the player and his club are now keen to part ways just over three years after the Frenchman became United's record signing in returning from Juventus.

Toni Kroos could join Manchester United as part of a deal which will see Paul Pogba move to Real Madrid in 2020 - according to <a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/10663403/toni-kroos-man-utd-transfer-real-madrid-pogba/" target="_blank">The Sun</a>. The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the German midielder in recent years, and look set to reignite their interest with Pogba bound for Santiago Bernabeu. Carlo Ancelotti wants to sign Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne, Real Madrid's James Rodriguez and Juventus' Adrien Rabiot for Everton, Tuttosport reports. The Toffees have drastically underperformed this season after a summer of spending and the Italian tactician has been brought in to change the club's fortunes. Ancelotti believes that he needs reinforcements to do that, however, and will turn to players he has trained in the past – and take advantage of Rabiot's delicate situation in Turin – as he looks to lift the Merseyside outfit up the Premier League table.

Roma are keen to add Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz to their ranks as they look for a deputy for Edin Dzeko, but any deal would hinge on Nikola Kalinic accepting a move to Newcastle, <a href="https://www.corrieredellosport.it/news/calcio/calcio-mercato/2020/01/03-65116729/roma_un_altro_dzeko_si_tratta_per_mariano_diaz/" target="_blank">Corriere dello Sport</a> reports. Diaz is said to want a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu as he has found playing time limited since returning from France, but Kalinic has already turned his nose up at potential moves to Verona and Genoa and could make things difficult.

Inter are set to pursue a move for Tottenham's Christian Eriksen in January, <a href="https://www.corrieredellosport.it/news/calcio/calcio-mercato/2020/01/03-65115829/linter_vuole_subito_eriksen_ecco_tutte_le_cifre/" target="_blank">Corriere dello Sport</a> reports, with it suggested that Spurs have already put an offer of €25 million on the table. Eriksen's contract with the London side runs out at the end of the season and it is said that the Nerazzurri are confident they can get their man in the winter window as Spurs will be reluctant to let him leave for free. A swoop may not be all plain sailing, however, with Manchester United seemingly interested in bringing the Denmark international to Old Trafford.

The former Borussia Dortmund man had previously been linked with a potential move to Pep Guardiola's Manchester City but a transfer never materialised. Should a big club return for Weigl's services and pay his full termination clause, he would become the most expensive German football in history.

Despite Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera being moved on in the summer, Matic has found his game time severely limited under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the Norwegian preferring Scott McTominay in his position.
