Arsenal and Chelsea tracking Doku

Chelsea and Arsenal have scouted Anderlecht youngster Jeremy Doku, with the 17-year-old winger having already made 14 senior appearances for the Belgian club, as reported by Calcio Mercato.

Doku is a Belgium youth international who has made six appearances for Anderlecht this season under Vincent Kompany. 

Bartomeu - 'Barca growing financially'

Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu highlighted Barcelona's economic strength and vowed to use the money to continue renovating the squad. 

LaLiga champions Barca announced in September they are aiming to become the first sports club to generate revenue exceeding €1billion (£810.8bn) after making a profit for an eighth season in a row in 2018-19.

Addressing the club's members at Sunday's General Assembly, Bartomeu emphasised the importance of bringing in new talent while continuing to spend within their means.

"We have to continue renovating the squad to continue with this natural evolution with talent from both home and abroad," he said. "We are sure this will be a winning generation."

Gerrard keen to keep Defoe

Victor Valdes is set to resign as coach of Barcelona's Under-19 team after falling out with academy director Patrick Kluivert, according to the Daily Mail. 

The former goalkeeper rejoined the Blaugrana in July as part of their academy set-up. 

But serious issues with Kluivert and the Barca board, who are unhappy with Valdes' tactics with the kids, threaten to cut his tenure short after less than six months in the role.

Man City rule out Odegaard move

Manchester City are unlikely to move for Real Madrid's Norwegian wonderkid Martin Odegaard, reports the Daily Mail

Odegaard, 20, has come to life this season while on loan at Real Sociedad, winning La Liga's Player of the Month award in September. 

But City boss Pep Guardiola believes he already has plenty of cover in midfield, leading to a cooling of interest from the Etihad Stadium.

Pulisic offered encouragement after returning to Premier League action

hristian Pulisic has been offered encouragement by Chelsea boss Frank Lampard after returning to Premier League action against Southampton.

The United States international was introduced off the bench at St Mary’s for the last 10 minutes of the Blues' 4-1 victory on Sunday.

The outing on the south coast was his first in the English top-flight since August 31.

Questions have been asked of the 21-year-old after quickly slipping down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, but Lampard has always urged patience with the summer signing.

Celtic to offer new McGregor deal

Celtic will give Callum McGregor a bumper new deal just nine months after he signed an improved contract to tie him to club until 2023, as reported by the Sun. 

There was interest in the summer from former Cetic boss Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City, and Neil Lennon revealed fresh negotiations are already under way.

"The principled thing is to give him a new deal, an improved contract, because he deserves it," said Lennon.

Villarreal to slap €60m release clause on Chukwueze

La Liga side Villarreal are to ward off interest in Nigerian winger Samu Chukwueze with a new contract containing a €60 million (£53m/$66m) release clause, according to Marca.

The 20-year-old has been in excellent form this season and the Yellow Submarine are keen to ensure they don't lose such a bright young talent on the cheap.

It is thought Chukwueze has attracted interest from clubs in the Premier League.

Juve still keen on Icardi

He may be on loan at Paris Saint-Germain for the season but Serie A champions Juventus are still keen on signing Mauro Icardi from Inter, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

Federico Chiesa of Fiorentina and Sandro Tonali of Brescia are also thought to remain targets after they were linked with Juve over the summer.

According to Don Balon, Real Madrid are interested in signing Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian has largely been an understudy for Sergio Aguero since his arrival at the Etihad from Palmeiras in 2017, and Madrid are reportedly keen to bring the talented 22-year-old to the Spanish capital as early as January next year.

Aguero is the Premier League's top scorer this season with eight goals, and his form could pave the exit for Jesus, but his €100 million (£89m/$110m) price tag would be a major stumbling block in any potential deal. 

It is thought Madrid could try to raise some of the funds by finally selling Gareth Bale.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to take his Norwegian compatriot Martin Odegaard to Manchester United, according to Don Balon.

The 20-year-old is currently on loan at Real Socieded from Real Madrid, and has been one of the Spanish top flight's standout players so far this season.

Liverpool and Arsenal are also said to be tracking Odegaard, who made a global splash when he signed for Madrid as a 16-year-old.

He has since spent time on loan in the Eredivisie with Heerenveen and Vitesse, as well as playing for Madrid's Castilla side.
