Dias completes £62m Manchester City move from Benfica


Ruben Dias has completed a £62 million ($79m) move to Manchester City, signing a six-year deal after having impressed with Portuguese giants Benfica.

Nicolas Otamendi has also completed a move in the opposite direction to Benfica in a deal worth £14m ($17m).

Dias, 23, who could cost a further £3.3m with add-ons, says he cannot wait to work with City boss Pep Guardiola, a man he believes can improve his all-round game.

Leeds United have struck an agreement with Bayern Munich over the transfer of Michel Cuisance, according to the Athletic

The French midfielder, 21, will set the Whites back a reported £20 million ($25.7m).

Innocent joins Caen from PSG


Caen have reached an agreement with PSG on a loan deal for goalkeeper Garissone Innocent, reports Goal.

The Ligue 2 side will have an option to purchase the 20-year-old for less than €1 million.

Innocent had been the fourth-choice goalkeeper at PSG after coming up through the club's youth academy.

Leverkusen nearing deal for Kolasinac


Bayer Leverkusen are closing in on a deal for Arsenal left-back Sead Kolasinac, according to Bild.

Having sold Kai Havertz and Kevin Volland this summer, the Bundesliga outfit have plenty of cash on hand to spend in the market. 

Arsenal are likely to accept an offer of €10 million (£9m/$12m) for the 27-year-old. 

Saint-Etienne accept £30m Leicester bid for Fofana


Saint-Etienne have accepted a bid from Leicester City for Wesley Fofana that would see the defender become the biggest sale in club history. 

Fofana, 19, has attracted strong attention from the Premier League this season thanks to his performances for the French club. 

Saint-Etienne have now confirmed they have agreed to a record approach estimated at £30 million ($38.5m).

Dortmund reject €80m Man Utd bid for Sancho


The offer could have gone as high as €100m with add-ons

Borussia Dortmund have rejected Manchester United's first official offer for Jadon Sancho, according to Sky Germany.

The Red Devils bid €80 million (£73m/$94m) plus €20m (£18m/$23m) in possible add-ons for the England star, whom Dortmund have been adamant will stay at the club this season.

Sancho and Man Utd have long had an agreement on a contract should Dortmund accept a bid for the winger.

Sheffield United prepare £20m Brewster offer


Sheffield United are hoping to sign Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster, according to the Telegraph

The 20-year-old has managed scant first-team appearances at Anfield, but his current club may insist that the Blades' £20 million ($26m) bid includes a buyback clause.

Manchester United are closing in on a deal for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, reports AS.

Ronald Koeman wants to bring Memphis Depay to Camp Nou from Lyon, but the club must sell first before they can add the Dutch star.

The Blaugrana are prepared to accept an offer between €50 million and €60m (£46m-£55m/$59m-$70m) for the 23-year-old.

USWNT star Horan urged Mewis & Lavelle to move abroad


U.S. national team midfielder Lindsey Horan has said she always told new Manchester City duo Rose Lavelle and Sam Mewis that they should try their luck abroad one day. 

Lavelle and Mewis each signed for Man City in August, joining from NWSL sides OL Reign and the North Carolina Courage respectively. 

Both players had experienced plenty of success in NWSL and with the national team – both starting the 2019 World Cup final for the victorious USWNT – but neither had played professionally outside the U.S. before.

Leicester strike deal for Fofana


Leicester City's bid for Wesley Fofana has been accepted by Saint-Etienne, according to Le Progres

The teenage defender is set to move for an initial fee of €35 million (£32m/$41m)), plus a further €5m in performance-related bonuses.

‘Arteta has got his eye on a few more players’


Mikel Arteta has his “eye on a few more players”, says Lee Dixon, with the former Arsenal defender hoping that a deal can be done for a performer of Houssem Aouar’s ilk as added creativity is going to be “key” for the Gunners.

A raid on Lyon for highly-rated playmaker Aouar has been mooted for some time now and formal offers have been tabled, but the Ligue 1 outfit are yet to see a hefty asking price met.

Arsenal are refusing to give up on a top target, with Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey another of those in their sights, and Dixon believes deals will be done before the October 5 deadline.

Real Madrid are prepared to loan Luka Jovic to Roma instead of Borja Mayoral - according to Calcio Mercato.

The Giallorossi were thought to be close to wrapping up a deal for Borja, but Zinedine Zidane has decided to keep the striker in his plans for the 2020-21 season.

Madrid still want to maintain a strong relationship with Roma though, and to that end, have offered the Italian side the chance to sign Jovic on loan until next summer.

Juventus defender Daniele Rugani is the subject of interest from Valencia - according to Calcio Mercato.

The Spanish giants are eager to bring in the 26-year-old on an initial loan deal, with his current employers open to negotiating a deal.

Premier League trio Leeds United, Newcastle and West Ham have also been linked with Rugani, who is currently valued at around €20 million (£18m/$23m).

Milan submit offer for Dalot


Milan have submitted an offer for Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot - according to Sky Italia.

The Rossoneri want to bring in the Portuguese on loan with the option to buy, but the Red Devils are only willing to sell him outright.

Dalot has fallen down the squad pecking order at United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and has yet to appear for the club this season.

'It's imperative Arsenal sign Aouar'


Ian Wright says it's "imperative" that Arsenal bring in Houssem Aouar because the Lyon star can help feed the Gunners' attacking line when possession is turned over.

Arsenal have stepped up their pursuit of Aouar over the past week as this summer's transfer deadline draws near, but have yet to reach an agreement with Lyon over a final fee.

The French club's president has insisted that the midfielder will not be sold for less than €40 million (£36m/$47m), and confirmed on Monday that they have already rejected a "timid offer" from the Gunners.

According to Catalunya Radio, the Red Devils saw their offer turned down before proposing to activate the 17-year-old's £154m (€170m/$198m) release clause.

However, the Blaugrana told Man Utd that Fati's release clause had already risen to £363m (€400m/$467m) with his new contract.

Chris Smalling's return to Roma could be back on after the Serie A club re-opened negotiations with Manchester United.

Smalling - who is yet to feature in a Man Utd squad this season - is believed to be keen to leave Old Trafford and return to Rome.

Manchester United have approached Watford to enquire about a transfer for winger Ismaila Sarr.

The Telegraph reports the Red Devils are looking for alternatives to Jadon Sancho and looking into signing Sarr, who has been priced at £40 million (€44m/$51m).

The 22-year-old scored five goals for Watford in 28 Premier League appearances before the Hornets were relegated to the Championship.
