Man Utd eyeing £50m David Brooks


Manchester United are monitoring the situation of Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks, according to The Sun.

Brooks enjoyed a breakthrough year with the Cherries last season after signing from Sheffield United, and is reportedly valued at £50 million ($63m) by his employers. 

The 21-year-old, who is a boyhood Man Utd fan, cost Bournemouth £11.5 million ($14.5m) a year ago. 


Bayern join race to sign Rodri


Bayern are keen on signing Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri, reports AS.

The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City but Bayern want to reinforce their squad with a number of key players leaving this summer.

Rodri's release clause is set at €70 million (£62m/$78m) and Atleti reportedly will not settle for less than that figure. 

Liverpool not interested in Bruno Fernandes


Liverpool have no interest in signing Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes, says the Evening Standard.

The Portugal international, who is reportedly a target for Manchester United and Manchester City this summer, has been mooted as an option to bolster Jurgen Klopp's midfield.

But the Reds will not pursue a deal for the 24-year-old.

Coutinho unsure of his Barca future


Philippe Coutinho has admitted he is not sure what the future holds when asked if he will leave Barcelona this summer.

The Brazil playmaker has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou after a disappointing campaign in La Liga.

He has failed to establish himself as a top player for the Catalans, and Barca could look to cut their losses with Coutinho, whose transfer fee may rise to €142 million (£126m/$159m).

Heaton rejects new Burnley contract


Tom Heaton has rejected a new contract at Everton, says The Sun.

The goalkeeper is reportedly a transfer target for Bournemouth and Aston Villa, who could get him at a cut price with only 12 months remaining on his contract.

Heaton started Burnley's last 18 Premier League games but must compete with Joe Hart and Nick Pope for the No. 1 spot at Turf Moor. 

McCarthy open to Liverpool move


Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy is willing to join Liverpool, according to the Mail.

The Reds are looking for a new back-up goalkeeper as Simon Mignolet is set to leave Anfield. 

McCarthy lost the Southampton No.1 spot to Angus Gunn last season and is reportedly being eyed by multiple Premier League clubs.

Why Bayern are making a huge mistake selling Hummels back to Dortmund


Bayern announced today (Wednesday) that defender Mats Hummels will be rejoining Borussia Dortmund after spending three years in Bavaria.

Dortmund finished just two points behind Bayern last term and nearly snatched the Bundesliga title. 

Niko Kovac is now set to lose a number of experienced players this summer, with Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery about to depart.

Leighton Baines signs one-year Everton extension


Veteran Everton defender Leighton Baines has signed a new one-year contract.

Baines said: "As you get older you realise the work you need to do to sustain the level required by the club.

“And to be judged to be at that level in the later stages of your career is testament to the work you do.

“You take pride in it all. When you look at the back end of last season and how well we played and the results we picked up against some good teams, it gives us plenty of optimism going into this season."

Schalke are closing in on the signing of Rafael Camacho from Liverpool according to Kicker.

Teams from England, Germany and Portugal are said to be eyeing the 19-year-old midfielder, who made two first-team appearances in 2018-19.

But Schalke are already in talks with the Anfield club over the Portugal Under 21 international but will be wary of the likes of RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund acting on their interest.

Man Utd still falling short of Wan-Bissaka asking price


Manchester United have not reached an agreement with Crystal Palace over Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to The Daily Mail.

Reports emerged on Wednesday claiming the two sides had struck a deal, but the Red Devils are yet to match Palace's asking price.

The Selhurst Park side are demanding £45 million up front with £5m more in add-ons.

PSG warn Barca & Real off with €300m Neymar asking price


Paris Saint-Germain have settled on a €300 million (£266m/$337m) asking price for NeymarLe Parisien reports.

The Brazilian attacker is constantly being linked with a move to Real Madrid as well as a return to Barcelona.

But PSG are hoping that their massive asking price is enough to discourage any club from trying to lure him away just two years after they signed him from Barcelona.

Inter lead PSG in Barella battle


Inter are in pole position to sign Nicolo Barella from Cagliari, according to Calciomercatobut they face competition from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Nerazzurri are already in talks with the midfielder's agent, but PSG have entered the race, with new sporting director Leonardo ready to reach out.

Barella seems to prefer a move to Inter, but Cagliari's €45 million asking price could end up being a decisive factor in his future.

AC Milan confirm Giampaolo appointment


Marco Giampaolo has been confirmed as AC Milan's new coach.

The 51-year-old signs a two-year deal with an option for a third to replace Gennaro Gattuso at the helm of the San Siro side.

Barcelona midfielder Rafinha is edging towards the Camp Nou exit and looks likely to join Valencia, according to Sport.

While no deal has been agreed yet, the two sides are in talks with Los Che expected to pay the €15 million that the Catalan side want.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old has begun talks with Valencia, though they are still in the early stages.

Napoli confirm James Rodriguez talks


Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed the club are trying to sign James Rodriguez.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti wants to reunite with the attacking midfielder and winger, having already worked with him at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

But De Laurentiis admitted that the signing will be an expensive one and says they are looking at PSV star Hirving Lozano as an alternative.

Juan Mata has signed a two-year contract extension with Manchester United.

The 31-year-old's contract was set to expire this summer but he has opted to pen a new deal that ties him to the club until 2021.

"It is a real honour to continue to represent this amazing club and our incredible fans," he said. "I have been at Manchester United for five years and I am proud to call Old Trafford my home."

Arsenal are set to sell David Ospina to Napoli, claims Football.London.

The Gunners have agreed a £4 million ($5m) price tag for the Colombia international after he spent last season on loan with the Serie A side. 

Napoli will announce the deal when the Copa America is completed this summer. 

Mendy opens up on 'incredible' journey to Real Madrid


Becoming a Real Madrid player is starting to sink in for Ferland Mendy, who opened up on his 10-year journey from being told he would never play football again to joining "the greatest club in the world".

At his presentation on Wednesday having signed from Lyon, the defender described how he fought his way back from the brink of having his career ended by surgery to realising his ambition of playing for Los Blancos.

"When I was 15 I had a hip operation and they told me I would never play football again," he told reporters.

"Now I'm at Real Madrid. It's incredible."

The England international has been linked with a big-money move

West Ham have issused a hands-off warning over Declan Rice, according to Sky Sports.

The 20-year-old has caught the eye of Manchester United and City this summer having firmly established himself in the Hammers' first-team last season.

It is understood the two Manchester clubs have enquired about the midfielder, who also earned his first England cap this year, but West Ham were quick to rebuff the interest.

Terry signs new Aston Villa deal


John Terry has signed a new contract to stay on as Aston Villa's assistant manager, the club have confirmed.

The former Chelsea defender had been linked with a return to his old club as part of the backroom set-up at Stamford Bridge, with Frank Lampard expected to take over as manager.

He had also been mooted as a potential replacement for Lampard at Derby County but he has now signed a new contract at Villa Park to remain there until 2021.


Luis Enrique steps down as Spain head coach


Luis Enrique has stepped down from his position as Spain head coach, with his assistant Robert Moreno taking over on a permanent basis.

Former assistant coach Moreno oversaw Spain's past three matches after Luis Enrique was granted leave following a family emergency in March and will remain in charge until the end of Euro 2020.

Everton have reached an agreement with Barcelona over a £22 million ($28m) move for midfielder Andre Gomes, according to Sky Sports.

The Portuguese impressed in a loan spell with the Toffees during the 2018-19 season, with Marco Silva's side keen to make the switch permanent.

The Belgian has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, and is keen to sort out his future before the club head to Perth, Australia, at the beginning of July.

PSG favour move for Donnarumma over De Gea


Paris Saint-Germain will opt to make a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma rather than attempt to lure David de Gea to the Parc des Princes, reports the Sun.

The Ligue 1 champions brought former sporting director Leonardo back into the same role last week, and he would prefer to target the £60 million-rated ($75m) 20-year-old as opposed to De Gea.

The Manchester United goalkeeper has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after the club failed to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League, but PSG's stance means there is now one less potential destination for the 28-year-old.


Norwich have bid accepted for Motherwell's Turnbull


Newly promoted Premier League outfit Norwich City have had a bid of £3 million plus add ons accepted for Motherwell youngster David Turnbull, reports BBC Sport.

The 19-year-old has been the subject of interest from Celtic in recent days, who also saw an offer for the player accepted last week before failing to agree personal teams with the player.

The Canaries have now made a move to take the midfielder, who scored 15 goals last season, to Carrow Road ahead of their top-flight return.

Roma make €20 million offer for Pau Lopez


Roma have made an offer totalling €20 million (£18m/$22m) for Real Betis goalkeeper Pau Lopez, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Giallorossi reportedly made first contact with the 24-year-old in the past few days, and have since made his club an offer of an initial €18m (£16m/$20m) plus €2m in bonuses.

Lopez kept 10 clean sheets in 33 La Liga appearances last season, as Real Betis ended the campaign in 10th place.

Fekir set to leave Lyon


Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir is likely to leave the Ligue 1 side this summer, president Jean-Michel Aulas told the club's official website.

The 25-year-old was reportedly inches away from becoming a Liverpool player last summer, before the Reds pulled out of the deal due to concerns over a knee injury.

Aulas admitted that the Frenchman's 'preference is towards a departure', and added: "We are open to discussions.

The Colombian has spent the past two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich, who opted not to make the move permanent at the end of last season.

The Premier League champions have been heavily linked with a move for Juventus' Joao Cancelo, but the England international has signed on for another two years despite knowing his place is under threat.
