The group stages of the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League is upon us. The fifth matchday sees PSG play hosts to Liverpool in what is set to be an intriguing clash.
PSG are currently third in Group C with just five points in four games while Liverpool sit above them in second spot with six points. This clash at the Parc des Princes stadium has the potential to make or break the Champions League ambitions of either team.
PSG, who have only defeated Red Star Belgrade in the group, will be hoping to cash in on their home advantage and exact revenge on Liverpool who beat them 3-2 at Anfield on the first matchday.
However, Thomas Tuchel's men will be sweating on the fitness of two of their star forwards in Kylian Mbappe and Neymar who suffered injuries in the recent international break.
Getty/Goal"The good news is that it is not very serious but we do not take risks for the weekend (Ligue 1 game). But there is a possibility that they can play against Liverpool," expressed Tuchel.
"In my opinion, after discussions with doctors, I think Neymar can play against Liverpool."
Liverpool's task will be made easier if the duo fail to be fit for the game. However, the likes of Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria ensures that PSG's attack does not lack for quality.
Virgil Van Dijk will be expected to marshall the defence while Liverpool's front three of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah will look to exploit a shaky PSG defence.
