Granada versus Real Betis is the first live game to be broadcast on Facebook and can be watched on the official Facebook pages of La Liga and television channel Gol.

"This is a commitment to innovation, framed within the strategy of digital development of La Liga, with the goal that all fans of Spanish football can enjoy the league," said an official statement.

Betis are currently 13th in the table and have not registered a win in their last four games as they struggle to climb out of mid-table obscurity.

Lowly Granada, meanwhile, are toiling in the relegation zone and are in desperate need of three points.

The game will be available for viewers in Spain from 19:45 GMT.
