Eleje reveals Katsina United's free kick secret

The Chanji Boys’ netted twice from dead ball situations in Lagos and the midfielder has disclosed why they became that dangerous

Katsina United’s midfielder, Obinna Eleje reveals that constant practice has helped their abilities from set pieces.

The Chanji Boys, through Destiny Ashadi and Eleje, netted twice from free kicks but were unable to prevent MFM from claiming a victory in a Nigerian topflight encounter on Monday.

“We have always practised free kicks in all our training sessions. We do that like two or three times weekly to ensure that we sharpen our acts and get goals from there when we couldn’t in other ways,” Eleje told Goal.

“We got everything about it right against MFM and we shall go back home to hone the skills the more. We played very well and made life difficult for them.

“The kicks were expertly taken by me and Destiny [Ashadi] and we are going home very confident that we shall get some goals through the same medium against ABS and our other opponents in the topflight," he concluded.
