Didier Deschamps's men may be hot favourites to clinch glory at the Stade de France but supporters from all over the world are backing Cristiano Ronaldo & Co. to produce an upset

Goal readers have backed Portugal to shock hosts France and win Euro 2016 ahead of the final in Paris on Sunday.

Over 6,000 people from across the world voted for the team they think will triumph at this summer's tournament, with Cristiano Ronaldo's side scooping 56% of the total votes cast.

Readers in Germany, who saw France end their hopes of glory in the semi-final, narrowly favoured a Portugal win with 51% of the nation behind Fernando Santos' men.

It was a similar story in Turkey, who finished third in Group  D, with 54% backing the Portuguese to produce an upset.

However, readers in the UK, France, Croatia, Italy and the Netherlands all fancy France to be crowned European champions.

Spain, who were dumped out in the last 16 by Italy, voting overwhelmingly for Didier Deschamps's side with a massive 68% expecting France to take their crown.

Unsurprisingly there was plenty of support from home with 77% of readers in France voting for les Bleus but completely eclipsed by 91% of voters in Portugal backing their side.
