The two sides were in Copa del Rey action in midweek and rested players, with both sides suffering defeats to Sevilla and Real Madrid, respectively.
In La Liga Girona were able to hold Barca to a 2-2 draw at the Camp Nou earlier this season and Ernesto Valverde's men will be keen to avoiding dropping more points to their regional rivals.

Team news
Barcelona rested Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen for the midweek trip to Seville but they should all return. Ousmane Demebele is injured along with Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen.
Girona rested top scorer Cristhian Stuani on Thursday with the Uruguayan an unused substitute at the Bernabeu. The striker should come back into the starting eleven along with a number of other first choice players who were rested.
