Fans' Asian Player of the Week: Altyn Asyr's Murat Yakshiyev

The Altyn Asyr midfielder's sensational goalscoring feat against FC Alay has found favour with the fans who have voiced their approval..

Turkmenistan outfit Altyn Asyr's midfielder Murat Yakshiyev has been chosen as the Fans' Asian Player of last week after his scintillating performance in the AFC Cup 2017 encounter against FC Alay midweek.

Murat Yakshiyev helped himself to four goals in a 4-1 win that saw Altyn Asyr keep abreast with Istiqlol with one more game left in Group D. Yakshiyev showed fantastic instincts inside the penalty box for his goals and was without surprise named our Player of the Week.

Also in the fray for the honour were FC Istiqlol striker Manuchehr Dzhalilov and 4.25 SC forward Kim Yu-Song - both of whom scored hat-tricks in their respective teams' games this past week.

Despite the nature of competition that awaited Yakshiyev, the midfielder polled a massive 57% of the votes cast while Yu-Song and Dzhalilov won only 29% and 14% of the votes.

Congrats Murat!
