Egyptian winger Amr Warda joins CD Feirense

The winger was linked to multiple clubs but chose to join the Portuguese club instead

Egyptian International Amr Warda has joined Portuguese Primeira Liga side, CD Feirense. The 23-year-old was linked with moves to clubs in Spain, Switzerland and England this summer.

Warda has joined the Portuguese club from Greece’s PAOK on a one-year loan deal worth €1.25 million.

In the opening game of the Primeira Liga, CD Feirense drew 1-1 against Tondela.

Warda started his journey in Europe by joining Greek side Panetolikos in the Superleague Greece from Egyptian giants Al-Ahly in August 2015 on a transfer deal worth €100,000.

In January 2017, the Egyptian international moved to PAOK for €900,000. He went on to play in the Europa League while at the club.

PAOK ended up finishing third place in the league last season and also managed to win the Greek Cup.
