Confirmed: Diego Costa left out of Chelsea squad

Diego Costa has been left out of Chelsea's squad for the meeting with Leicester City.

The in-form striker was forced to train alone after a row with manager Antonio Conte and a member of his coaching staff.

Costa also clashed with Conte over the extent of his injury and was thus not allowed to travel with the squad for the Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium

Goal understands that Costa has been offered a £30 million-a-year package by a Chinese club as he negotiates terms for a new deal with the Blues.

Eden Hazard will deputise in Costa's absence and play up front against the Foxes, with Pedro and Willian operating in wide positions.

Costa is the Premier League's top goalscorer with 14 goals and he will likely be sorely missed by Chelsea, despite the Blues being five points clear at the top of the table.

Michy Batshuayi remains on the bench and has yet to start a league game, even in the absence of the club's leading scorer.

Chelsea starting XI: Courtois; Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Cahill; Moses, Kante, Matic, Alonso; Willian, Hazard, Pedro.

Subs: Begovic, Ivanovic, Zouma, Chalobah, Loftus-Cheek, Fabregas, Batshuayi.

Leicester starting XI: Schmeichel; Chilwell, Morgan, Huth, Fuchs; Ndidi, Drinkwater, Mendy; Albrighton, Musa, Vardy.

Subs: Zieler, Simpson, Wasilewski, Kapustka, King, Gray, Okazaki.
