It had been suggested that the Arsenal forward had been offered a mega-money deal to move to Asia as he contract with the Gunners runs down

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has not been offered £400,000-a-week to join Hebei Fortune, the Chinese Super League side insist.

Reports in England over the weekend suggested that the Chilean had snubbed the mega-money deal, with The Sun claiming that he continues to hold out for a switch to Manchester City.

It is not the first time that Sanchez has been linked with a move to Asia, with his future being continuously called into question as his contract at Arsenal runs down.

Hebei, though, maintain that they have made no approach for the 29-year-old.

A senior club official told Southern Metropolis Daily: "We have never made a bid or any offer for Sanchez. The Sun's story is fake news."

While Arsenal should be bracing themselves for further interest to be shown in Sanchez, it would appear that they need not worry about approaches from China.

Several other top talents in Europe remain targets for CSL teams, though, with Hebei Fortune still being linked with a move for Barcelona’s Javier Mascherano after acknowledgment from him that he may need to leave Camp Nou in order to find the regular game time he craves.

There has, however, been no word from the Hebei camp when it comes to reports of a big-money offer being made to the versatile Argentine.
