Real Betis v Barcelona Betting: Oppose goals as Enrique's side face a quick turnaround

Following a slight wobble at the start of the year that saw Barcelona fail to win their opening two matches of 2017, the Blaugrana have responded with five successive wins.

The latest victory came on Thursday as Luis Enrique's men swept aside Real Sociedad 5-2 at Camp Nou to progress into the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.

The fixture list, however, has not been kind to Barca, and having finished late on Thursday night, the Catalans are in action on Sunday morning away to Real Betis. Their opponents will have had a full week to prepare for the game, and while Betis have not been particularly inspiring of late, they remain hard to beat at home.

Inded, Los Verdiblancos are unbeaten at the Estadio Benito Villamarin since the end of October, recording three wins and two draws in their last five home games, although they did suffer a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid when the European champions visited Seville earlier this season.

Betway offer a win for Barca at 1/4 (1.25), and the Catalans have won each of their last seven games against Betis, both home and away. The Andalusians, meanwhile, are available at 9/1 (10.00) to win their fifth home game of the season, with the draw priced at 11/2 (6.50)

GFX FACT REAL BETIS V BARCELONAGOAL

While we expect Barca to win the game, the midday kick-off could condition the ease with which it is achieved, especially given their exertions on Thursday evening. Betis' home record is relatively strong for a side towards the bottom of the table, and they could make the visitors work for the win.

To that end, backing a Barca win and under 3.5 goals in the game at 7/5 (2.40) looks like an intelligent selection. This bet has paid out in two of Barca's last three visits to this stadium, with the Benito Villamarin seeing few goals in recent weeks. Indeed, seven of Betis' 10 home games this season have seen fewer than four goals, and while Barca are the top scorers in the division, expect Sunday morning's game to be tighter than some of their other matches this term.
