Wrexham world record holders! Ryan Reynolds receives official Guinness plaque to mark 147 years of international football history at the Racecourse Ground
Wrexham are now officially world record holders, with Ryan Reynolds receiving a plaque from Guinness to mark 147 years of history at the Racecourse.
The same venue played host to Wales’ very first international match back in 1877. Wrexham hope to provide the backdrop for more elite competition in the years to come. For now, though, their place in the history books has been confirmed after reaching 147 years and 31 days as of April 5, 2024.
WHAT REYNOLDS SAID
Wrexham chairman Reynolds was surprised with an official Guinness World Records presentation during an appearance on the British daytime television show ‘This Morning’ alongside Deadpool & Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman. He said: “This means so much to me and my Welsh ancestors.”
