'Pure greed' - West Ham fans rage at club's 'disgraceful' ticket prices as under 18s are charged up to £120 to watch Man City game

Along with increasing the average price of the match tickets for the upcoming season, the Hammers also removed discounts for U21, U18 and senior citizen fans. The general sale prices for the game against Man City on August 31 has left the supporters fuming as they called out the club's decision on social media.

@TonyFinnComms questioned the club's decision to remove discounts as he wrote: "I cannot believe this is happening. The charging structure for OAPs and kids is an absolute scandal. What on earth are we doing???"

@PeterKing1968 called the price rise a 'disgrace' as he wrote: "Those prices are an absolute disgrace, pure greed, Sullivan and Brady out."

@tpockett echoed similar sentiments as Elliott as he wrote: "Disgraceful!"

A handle named @funsizephil wrote: "Utterly disgusting. This is shameful."

@suescan2 went ahead and wrote: "This is not the club I’ve supported all my life. Shame on you."

@willearle_ called out the club for being out of touch with fans as he wrote: "Disgusting never seen a club so out of touch with the fanbase."

A handle named @jaymeeteewhu98 slammed: "I’m fortunate that I’m a season ticket holder, but these prices are an absolute disgrace."

Julen Lopetegui's side will begin their first match of the season on August 17 as they kick off their campaign in the Premier League. They are currently linked with a move for former Chelsea and current Al-Ittihad star N'Golo Kante and are in talks with the Saudi Pro League side.

The English club are currently in the United States for pre-season and will be next seen in action against Wolves on Saturday in a friendly match in Florida.
