  • WHAT HAPPENED?

An icy blast has hit Europe, leading to plummeting temperatures and frosty conditions. France’s capital has been caught in the storm, meaning that star turns on the books at PSG have had to wrap up against the elements when being put through their paces.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Footballers are, however, an excitable bunch and it comes as no surprise that some of the snow falling in Paris did not stay on the ground for long. Snowball fights were inevitable, along with the production of snow angels and questionable slides across the slick turf.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Earps was among those forced to step out into the cold for a session that many would have been happy to complete inside, with PSG’s group of goalkeepers breaking off from the main group. The Lionesses' Euro 2022-winning star made sure to take a beanie hat with her, but that offered little protection against the wind and snow.

  • WHAT NEXT?

Earps has admitted to missing some home comforts since leaving WSL side Manchester United as a free agent and heading to France. The weather at present is akin to that which the 31-year-old grew accustomed to in the North West of England, but is not making it any easier for her to play a way back into peak form.
