VIDEO: Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller sends cheeky message to Kai Havertz after Harry Kane's side draw Arsenal in Champions League quarter-finals

The German giants are not enjoying the best of times domestically this season, with the Bundesliga crown that they have dominated over the course of the last decade set to be surrendered to Bayer Leverkusen. Star striker Kane is in danger of missing out on major silverware once again as a result of those uncharacteristic struggles.

Bayern are, however, into the last eight of continental competition and still have their sights set on ultimate glory there. Premier League heavyweights Arsenal are next up for them, presenting former Tottenham star Kane with a return to north London and Muller with a clash against international team-mate Havertz.

Muller, who is a two-time Champions League winner, has said on Instagram when offering his reaction to an intriguing draw: “And it’s Arsenal! Kai Havertz, my friend, I am waiting for you! No, it’s a nice draw. Two very good teams, two very good stadiums, two very good cities. It will be tough, but I’m always positive. See you Gunners!”

There is the promise of plenty of goals when Bayern lock horns with Arsenal as Muller, Kane and Havertz are set to be joined in the hunt for a semi-final berth by the likes of Jamal Musiala, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus.
