  • WHAT HAPPENED?

England international Grealish has developed a very recognisable look, with his floppy hairstyle and low socks. Some have said that the ex-Aston Villa winger - who moved to the Etihad for £100 million (€127m) in 2021 - and Forest's Jota Silva look alike, particularly due to how he styles his hair and his socks hanging by his ankles, with fans dubbing him the 'Aldi Grealish', referencing the low-cost supermarket.

    WHAT JOTA SILVA SAID

The 25-year-old winger told The Sun: "This has been going around for a while now - I can’t deny there are similarities. But we are different types of players - different styles. The hair and the low socks give rise to the story. But Jack is a great player - and to be compared to him is an honour."

Portugal team-mate Bernardo Silva joked he would try to smuggle the Forest man into City training one day to see if manager Pep Guardiola would notice.

He added: "We did have a joke about that while we were away with Portugal. But Forest is the club I’m at, and the one I’ll be representing. Maybe I’ll get chance to have a word with Jack at the City game."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Both Grealish and Silva could come across one another when fifth-placed City host sixth-positioned Forest at the Etihad on Wednesday night in the Premier League. The Cityzens are looking to end a run of seven games without a victory in all competitions.
