Manchester United legend Roy Keane admits to having a price that could see him lured onto I’m A Celebrity, but says jungle life is not his “scene”.
Coleen Rooney, the wife of Keane’s former Red Devils team-mate Wayne, was reportedly paid £1.5 million for her recent stint Down Under – which saw her claim a runner-up finish. That is said to be the highest appearance fee ever shelled out by ITV bosses.

It would probably take something similar for Premier League title winner Keane to consider jetting to Oz. He has told The Overlap podcast from Sky Bet when asked if he might be tempted to test himself in the world of Bushtucker trials: “Not my scene. It’s not my scene. Oh no, no, no.”

Pressed further by ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher on whether he has a price that may alter that stance, Keane added: “Of course! I think everyone’s been asked to go in, that’s no big drama to be asked. Don’t get a buzz out of that. I don’t think it’s for me. I like to think that I’m open to new adventures but the jungle…”
