  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The Spanish Football Federation officially rejected Barcelona's attempts to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor in a momentous decision on Saturday. The Catalan giants are unable to register Olmo and Victor due to their financial woes which has made the duo free agents for now. The club will now enter into complicated legal proceedings as they attempt to plead their case.

    La Liga teams are divided on their stance on the Olmo case. According to Sport 45, clubs like Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, who have a place on the La Liga Delegation Committee, are strongly opposing the Catalan club, but Real Madrid have taken a neutral stand as they consider their on-field arch-rivals as a strategic ally.

    Per Relevo, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez reportedly cleared his stance in an intimate cocktail party where he said: "Barcelona must be left alone: they are our partners, not a rival."
