  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Marseille signed Manchester United outcast Greenwood earlier this summer for a reported fee of €31.6 million (£27m/$34m). Marseille have undergone something of a makeover after a poor last season in Ligue 1. In addition to Greenwood and Hojbjerg, the French side also brought coach Roberto De Zerbi on board.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The 22-year-old has had a spectacular start to life in France as he has scored five goals in three games so far and also won the club's Player of the Month award. When questioned about Greenwood's place in the Marseille dressing room, Hojbjerg revealed how the winger is viewed by his teammates, and also offered advice to the youngster.

    WHAT HOJBJERG SAID

Hojbjerg told RMC Sport: "Mason is already showing his stuff with Marseille. He did well. But it's important to keep up the power, the way of working (sic).

"I don't want to say too much about Mason, because he has so many qualities. I just want him to continue until the end. Starting to talk about a star or the best player, I don't really like that. It's important to stay on the job and for him to continue, because we all know how important he is to us.

"He's a well-liked guy in the locker room. He has to continue to work well and help the team every week. If he doesn't score, it doesn't matter, but he has to work well for the team and do things seriously every day."
