Christian Pulisic and Fikayo Tomori have earned praise from Rafael Leao, with the AC Milan star being restricted to a cheerleader role at present.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Portugal international forward Leao, who is a talismanic presence for the Rossoneri, is currently stuck on the sidelines with a muscle injury. He was the stands once again when Milan faced Frosinone in Serie A competition.

His absence was not felt by Stefano Pioli’s side in that contest, with a comfortable 3-1 victory collected on home soil. Luka Jovic put Milan on their way, with USMNT star Pulisic and England international Tomori getting in on the act in the second-half.

Leao was impressed with the goal-scoring contributions made by Pulisic and Tomori, with Milan requiring attacking inspiration from somewhere, and he has paid tribute to the efforts of “Ma Boys”.

Milan will be hoping to have Leao back at their disposal soon, as they target positive progress at home and in the Champions League, with the exploits of Pulisic and Co keeping them in the Serie A title hunt for now – with a four-point gap separating them from league leaders Juventus.
