'What if he left a year earlier?' - Christian Pulisic told he didn't need to 'gut it out' at Chelsea for so long as Taylor Twellman says USMNT star has been a 'pleasure to watch' since joining Milan

The United States international decided to take on a new challenge in the summer of 2023, with Serie A giants luring him to San Siro. The previous four seasons had been spent in west London at Stamford Bridge, with Pulisic becoming a history-making Champions League winner during that time.

There were highs for Pulisic in England, but he often struggled for form and fitness – resulting in him struggling to nail down a regular role in one set position. Milan have given him opportunities to play every week, while operating in a wide attacking role, and have seen him deliver seven goal contributions in his last eight appearances.

Former USMNT star Taylor Twellman believes Pulisic should have severed ties with Chelsea sooner, posting on social media after watching another impressive display from ‘Captain America’: “I appreciate the fact that Pulisic tried to ‘gut it out’ @ChelseaFC but what if he left a year ‘earlier’ than he did??? He’s playing so free in Milan right now it’s a pleasure to watch.”

Pulisic is tied to a contract at Milan through to 2027, and will be wanting to take his game to even greater heights in the years to come. The next 12 months will be big for him, with efforts at club level being complemented by CONCACAF Nations League and Copa America action with his country.
