  • WHAT JOSE MOURINHO SAID

At the pre-match press conference, the Roma boss said: "To be honest, I will say that I am worried about the referee. We had this official three times and I don’t think he has the emotional stability to work at this level."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Italian FA (FIGC) initiated an investigation on the Portuguese manager earlier this week and he had to appear before them on Friday evening. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the FIGC recorded the 60-year-old's statements regarding his comments at the meeting that lasted for almost 90 minutes.

    WHAT NEXT FOR JOSE MOURINHO?

La Gazzetta further reports that the former Chelsea manager could negotiate a plea if a suspension is handed to him as he fully cooperated with the FIGC. Even if a ban comes his way it is unlikely to be more than 10 days, which means he will miss just one Serie A game.

Roma will be next seen in action in the Serie A against Fiorentina on Sunday.
