    Exciting forward Tel had been linked with various other clubs, including Manchester United, before agreeing a deadline day switch to Spurs. He has bid farewell to Bayern Munich after finding regular game time hard to come by behind prolific England striker Kane.

    Kane has told Cleats Club of what a fan base that he knows all about can expect to get from Tel: “It’s a great move for both parties. Mathys is a great guy, really hard working, For the potential, it will be important for him to get some minutes under his belt and some regular game time and hopefully develop and keep improving and fulfil all the potential that he has.

    “It’s great for Tottenham to have a young, hungry player with loads of talent to hopefully score some goals and help push Tottenham as far as possible. Wish him all the best and hope he has a fantastic time there. I know he will and I’m sure all the fans will make him feel really welcome as well.”

    France U21 international Tel - who started out at Rennes - has taken in 83 senior outings for Bayern, scoring 16 goals. He has been left watching on this season as Kane, who is still waiting on his first piece of major silverware, has found the target on 26 occasions through 27 appearances in all competitions.
