  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The 3. Liga team hosted Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach in the quarter-finals of the competition on Tuesday. They found themselves a goal down just eight minutes into the clash at the Ludwigspark Stadion but pulled level three minutes later. They managed to hold off the pressure from their top-flight opponents for the rest of the half and put up a better fight after the break, despite Gladbach enjoying the lion's share of possession. Incredibly, the home team managed to seal the victory when Kai Brunker popped up in stoppage time to make it 2-1.
