Lehmann has been delivering on the pitch for Serie A title hopefuls, but continues to generate as many headlines away from it. She has become a social media sensation, with it reported that she can earn over €42,000 from monetised Instagram posts.
Lehmann told Marca when asked where her biggest money-spinning ventures lie: “That's the big question, right? I'm not going to answer that. Sorry. The point is that social media has become, especially for women, a window into partnering with big brands. And that's good. Women's football doesn't generate that much money, and social media helps me earn some extra money, which isn't bad.”

TELL ME MORE
While social channels leave anybody open to unwelcome comments and abuse, Lehmann has learned how to turn a deaf ear to any detractors. She added: “If I'm honest, I don't care what people say about me. Ultimately, I enjoy what I do and I like to show it off. I've been doing this for a long time, and it's part of who I am. I don't usually look at the comments on my posts, but when I do, I only reply to girls who tell me they'd like to play soccer or ask me for a jersey. I'm happy to be able to take women's soccer even further with social media and that the people who follow me can share my journey.”
WHAT NEXT?
That journey now includes forming part of the first all-female coaching team in Baller League competition, with a UK version of that event being launched. Lehmann has paired up with Love Island host Maya Jama to take charge of MVPs United.
