    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The centre-back has once again fuelled the rumour of his exit by claiming that he would 'love to play in La Liga' next. Romero started his career at Argentine club Belgrano before moving to Italy, where he played for clubs like Genoa, Juventus and Atalanta. He then moved to England in 2021 when he signed for Spurs.

  • WHAT CRISTIAN ROMERO SAID

Speaking to journalist Gaston Edul, Romero said: "I'd love to play in La Liga. I'd love to play in La Liga. I like watching a lot of games, and I have a lot of teammates who play there in Spain, and we watch them. It's one of the leagues I'd like to play in."
