    The right-back got a cheeky assist as he sent the corner in for Van Dijk to fire home the opening goal of the game at Bramall Lane on Wednesday. Before sending the ball in, however, the England international gave fans and the television an unexpected view of his backside.

    The defender's dangerous cross flew into the Sheffield United box where Van Dijk was found in plenty of space and calmly slotted in the goal that gave Liverpool the lead at half-time. The Reds had dominated possession and had the better of the chances, but had a tough time beating goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

    The assist was Alexander-Arnold's 75th in all competitions for Liverpool, according to Opta. Since he made his debut for the club in 2016, only Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne, who has a whopping 129 assists, and team-mate Mohamed Salah, on 80, have created more goals.
