Fire sale at Barcelona! Catalan giants open to offers ‘for all players’ amid continued financial crisis - with three stars mooted for potential exits

The reigning La Liga champions are struggling to secure around €40m (£35m/$44m) from the 29.5% of Barça Studios to German investment fund Libero Football Finance. According to Relevo,they are now racing against time to find another investor and although there have been contacts with potential investors, the club acknowledges that there is still a long way to go, raising concerns about meeting their financial needs in the short term.

The inability to secure an investor increases the likelihood of Barcelona executing player sales this winter. They raised around €103 million ($113m/£89m) in the summer from the sale of Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann, Frank Kessie, Nico Gonzalez, Abde Ezzalzouli, and Trincao but need more funds to balance their books. Hence they remain open to listening to offers for all players.

There has been speculation surrounding the future of players like Robert Lewandowski, Andreas Christensen, and Jules Kounde as the three are being considered surplus to requirements at the moment. While the Polish striker has suitors in Saudi Arabia, Barcelona are confident that they will get sizeable bids for the two defenders as well.

The urgency in player sales is fueled by the financial challenges and the desire to reinforce the squad during the January transfer window, in an attempt to revive their sinking fortunes. President Joan Laporta's desire to bring in a midfielder this winter adds urgency to the situation. However, the club's weakened leverage position may impact the success of significant deals.
