Tongues have been wagging in that department since the European Championship-winning Spain international enjoyed a wild 18th birthday celebration in mid-July. Several celebrity guests attended that event.

Argentine musician Nicole was among those on the guest list, with the South American reported to have got up close and personal with Yamal. They are said to have shared a kiss, which has led to rumours of a romance being on the cards.

Spanish journalist Javi Hoyos was the man to reveal that Yamal and Nicole were involved in a passionate clinch a matter of days after a birthday soiree that has generated plenty of headlines. He has been discussing whether they are now an item.

Hoyos has said, as reported by Glam, Set & Match: "It’s not just that they kissed, but from that day they kind of begun a relationship between them. Why do I say some kind of relationship? Because today, they are not boyfriend and girlfriend. It’s very early.

"Those close to them have told me that they are getting to know each other, a story has just begun between them. Their relationship may end up in a formal relationship. But currently, they are only getting to know each other. Both are excited!"

Yamal and Nicole have not been able to spend much time together of late as Barcelona have been in Asia on a pre-season tour. They are readying themselves for the start of a Liga title defence in 2025-26, with their talismanic 18-year-old winger taking on the fabled No.10 jersey in Catalunya.
