Speaking during a postgame segment with CBS Sports Soccer, Krieger - now a TV analyst, was grabbed from behind by the Gotham FC duo as they hugged and celebrated the moment. The hilarious moment saw Krieger's earpiece fall out, with the entire desk smiling over the heartwarming moment.

Krieger retired in 2023 after winning the NWSL Championship with Gotham FC alongside Purce and Nighswonger. A USWNT legend, she made over 100 appearances across 13 years, winning two FIFA World Cup titles among a plethora of other awards. It was a brilliant moment for Krieger, who was seemingly shocked, but embraced her former teammates in the celebratory moment.

The USWNT has a semifinal clash on April 6 against Japan in the SheBelieves Cup as they shoot for their next piece of hardware in 2024. With a victory, they would play the winner of Brazil vs Canada in the final.
