Another cover shoot for Alessia Russo! Lionesses star resplendent on front of Wonderland magazine as Arsenal forward reflects on growth of Women's Super League

Life is pretty hectic for Russo these days. Less than 24 hours after leading Arsenal's epic fightback against Leicester City earlier this month, she was at the studios of Wonderland magazine as she became the cover star for the winter edition of the lifestyle magazine.

In her interview with the magazine, Russo shared her journey from childhood kickabouts to the pinnacle of the sport. And despite the spectacular growth of the women's game, the England star is adamant more is to come. "The momentum is really building, especially in terms of the Women’s Super League,” Russo said. “The change has happened. This is the easier part now because we’ve proved that you can believe in the women’s game. Attendance at the games shows that. But we won’t ever stop.”

The Euro 2022 winner has become one of the faces of a new generation of players that promise to lift the sport to even further heights. With participation and attendance booming since England Euro 2022 win, Russo and her Lionesses team-mates are in high demand from media outlets beyond the sporting world.

Another big crowd is expected this afternoon as Russo and her Arsenal team-mates look to keep pace with WSL leaders Chelsea when they face West Ham at Meadow Park.
